Almost lost.

One aspect of the silver journal as a photographic project is to collect a small, but passionately salvaged archive of pictures, that have been abandoned in flee markets and antique stores.

This archive was created to be a source of inspiration. And to show my appreciation of these pictures that were almost lost.

I care deeply for photographic history and I am grateful for the effort of bygone photographers, hobbyists and professionals alike, whose pictures can help us connect to the past.

I sometimes feel slighty uneasy peaking into strangers lives. At the same time, there is always a bit of history to be made aware of, a little to be learned and sometimes even an excellent photograph to admire.

I don’t have any information as to who these people were or who photographed them. If you happen to know any details please contact me.
